The Francis Douglas project consisted of earthquake strengthening, internal and external demolition, admin block refurbishments, extensive concrete works, and landscaping. The earthquake restrengthening involved temporary propping of existing building, foundation restrengthening, installation of structural steel in a cohesive manner. Southcoast Construction were tasked with the protection of the school’s historic St John Baptise Da Le Salle statue, which was located within the centre of the working area.
