Company Profile

Get to know us

Southcoast have the ethics, values and a straightforward approach to meeting the standards and expectations of every project we take on, delivering on time, and on budget.

In 2003, Southcoast Construction was first established in Wellington by Steve and Gina Roberts. After success in Wellington, company directors Gina and Steve relocated to Taranaki, handing over management of their Wellington office and focusing their efforts within their new home in New Plymouth. By 2020, Southcoast Construction became a standalone, Taranaki owned business. We gained two new directors, Ross Lewis and Mitchell Smith, who are builders by trade and are all well respected leaders in the company. They have been with us since relocating to New Plymouth, and it is great to recognise their contribution to the success of the business with directorships and shareholdings to help equip Southcoast Construction for the future.

As a company, we strongly believe in constantly evolving to meet and exceed the current construction commercial climate. In order to accomplish these standards we have become receptive to new technologies, environmental sustainability, and advances in Health and Safety Risk Assessment and Management. By implementing these specific points of difference, we deliver our projects with integrity, on budget, and on time.

Southcoast Construction places great emphasis on process improvement. From construction to completion, it is important to have a seamless workflow for sites to run smoothly and efficiently. Southcoast Construction has overcome many potential obstacles, especially regarding programming; one solution was to bring painting in-house. This has proven to be very successful, while still collaborating with other companies.
